About

After earning my degree in anthropology at the University of Delaware in the early 1980’s, I transferred my interest in art and music of other cultures by working with wood and sculpting in living media. It is here where I learned to explore my love of form and sculpture. I found my natural home working with wood. As I began to establish myself I was fortunate to work with two artists, Bernie Fierro and Peter Anderson, who guided and helped deepen my appreciation for the craft. The expression in my work comes from a love of nature and the organic forms found there. Pieces for example are sculpted to reflect the flow of water, the bend of a wood blown branch, or maybe a perfect curve of a shell from a walk on the beach. My desire is that my work invites those viewing it to touch, explore and sit with each piece.

About the work

AVAILABLE WORK

I have amassed a series of available pieces, ready for sale, shipment and delivery from my studio. East Coast hand deliveries are possible. Please reach out to me on the contact page to learn more about current availability.

CUSTOM COMMISSIONS

This process would involve choosing the species of wood, drawing from past designs to create an entirely new piece. These designs can be inspired by existing projects and pieces pictured here, or we can take the time to draw, create and design something new that  stands alone.

Pricing available upon request.
